Supervision For Therapists

I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and Canadian Association of Couple and Family Therapy (CACFT).  I offer supervision in various therapy modalities and will tailor my approach to your preference.  My own preference is Collaborative and Narrative Therapy practices.

Therapists who benefit from my supervision are:

  • Independent therapists who aim to achieve accreditation with AAMFT, CACFT, or CRPO

  • Clinicians who supervise new graduates and promote quality therapy in clinical settings

  • Therapists who wish to enhance their clinical skills and develop a deeper sense of professional identity

Virtual supervision sessions are available in individual or dyadic format. Supervision services are available in English and Farsi.

Supervision Process

Supervision is a contractual relationship.

  • In the supervisory relationship, I offer a safe, non-judgmental, and reflective space for you to refine your skills, navigate difficult situations, and stay inspired in your work

  • Together, we'll work to enhance your clinical expertise, build confidence, and ensure that you’re providing the best care for your clients

  • Together, we nurture well-being and preventative strategies to reduce the risk of burnt-out

Supervision Goals

The purpose of clinical supervision is four-fold:

  1. To promote the professional growth of the supervisee

  2. To enhance the supervisee’s safe and effective use of self in the therapeutic relationship

  3. To discuss the direction of therapy

  4. To safeguard the well-being of the client
