My Therapeutic Approach
"One cannot discover new lands without consenting to leave the shore for a long time." - André Gide
My therapeutic approach is informed by Narrative Psychology, as well as Collaborative and Narrative Therapy Practices. My practice is collaborative, strength-based, and empowering. Our conversations are filled with curiosity, compassion and respect, recognizing that therapy is a developmental process.

Transformation
Personal experiences become personal stories and people give meaning to the stories they hold. These stories can become an important part of how we view ourselves.
Together we discuss, unpack, and explore your precious personal life stories. When problems take over our lives, a wide range of concerns may emerge. Problems can shape and steer our lives into directions we never imagined. In therapy, we seek understanding, explore solutions, and work toward loosening the grip of problems to reconstruct your self-narrative.
I recognize and explore your strengths to uncover alternative self-narratives to create changes to problem stories. Identifying alternative self-narratives can help you feel empowered to take action and address problem-stories. From there, you can move toward a direction that leads to reconstruction of meaningful narratives in life.
I provide a safe and reflective space where we think together, feel together, and co-create action plans to address your concerns. I actively or silently witness and support your journey. Together, we generate ideas and solutions to your personal and relational challenges and explore how you can move forward.
